I have long been a vocal advocate of exercise for mental and physical well-being and when my desire to spend more time with my son coincided with redundancy from my 9-5 job I retrained as a personal trainer and haven’t looked back.
I combine HIIT training and whole body integration exercises to build lean muscle mass and burn calories making you leaner, fitter and stronger. I use dumbbells, kettlebells, ViPR, stability balls, slam balls, steppers, dyna bands, boxing gloves and pads, suspended movement equipment and body weight exercises to strengthen and tone. We also work on balance and flexibility to reduce the risk of injuries from falls as we get older. Cardio work can be high or low impact depending on your needs. I end the session with assisted stretching and can also offer a mini guided relaxation exercise for clients needing to destress.
I am a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and also have qualifications in Pre and Post Natal Exercise, Exercise Referral, Senior Exercise Specialism, Youth Exercise Specialism, Nutrition, Kettlebell training, Padwork and Suspended Movement Training.
In addition to PT I am also a qualified Sports Massage Therapist and offer remedial and deep tissue massage along with assisted stretching sessions to ease muscle tightening caused by injury, health conditions, sedentary computer based jobs or aches and pains caused by sports or working out.
